Artificial Intelligence (AI) has now permeated almost all industries and aspects of our day-to-day lives. Whether it be smart assistants such as Siri, Alexa, and Google's Gemini, self-driving vehicles, or self-learning recommendation systems that analyze our browsing and purchasing history, people are using AI everyday. As it becomes more and more sophisticated, it is being used increasingly to assist and improve many industry standards. While there are some ethical concerns up for debate, there is no denying that AI's impact will only continue to grow.
When it comes to security and defense, AI can be used in several ways. One of the top AI applications in the defense industry is target recognition and classification. AI can help to identify and classify objects such as vehicles, aircraft, personnel, and behavior for faster and more accurate engagement.
Requirements
Our customer uses AI-powered video analytics to transform traditional surveillance cameras into intelligent monitoring systems. These systems can automatically analyze video feeds in real time, detecting and alerting security personnel to potential threats such as hazardous conditions, unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, or unusual activities.
These systems require extreme computing power to be able to run AI and video processing tasks. It was crucial to be able to support simultaneous lossless, ultra-low latency encoding, processing, and displaying of multiple video sources. Lastly, these systems need to be rugged, quickly deployable, and easily packed up for transport.
Solution
Acme's NotePAC III Pro V was fitted with a highly powerful NVIDIA RTX A6000 graphics card for powerful visual computing and NVIDIA IGX Orin platform for real-time AI learning, multitasking, and inference. This combination provides 2x faster inference times and 70% more CUDA cores with 40% high memory bandwidth. This system supports both SDVoE and HDMI/SDI capture cards for high-resolution, high-speed video input from cameras, drones, and other devices.
